Not content with holidaying in Queensland the month before, I headed back to Brissy at the end of November for a tag-along on Sonny's coverage of the Chanel Cruise show. It was one of those balmy summery evenings, and we were at the Old Government House. I can't show you any photos from the show itself, as they were exclusively for the client, so you get a couple of mood shots instead.
We were in Brisbane for less than 24 hours, but managed to have the yummiest Spanish dinner at Ortiga, in Fortitude Valley.
If you are in the area (and have a bit of spare cash – yes, we did have a $50 plate of ham, and yes it was worth it), you really need to experience this temple of gastronomic delights. There is a bar menu upstairs, but it's downstairs where the real action is, in the restaurant with an open kitchen and a very well stocked cellar.
