We went back to visit Kerri in Wollombi, but this time took the kids.
Again, our hostess outdid herself with a deliciously indulgent dinner, a comfortable bed, and she even took the kids for a horse ride – thanks Kerri!
Love pyjamas and horses…
and cute dogs
And oh, those eyes!
Kerri wanted to demonstrate just how placid their steed-to-ride, before they rode him, was…
So, safe in that knowledge, they got up close…
….and with this kiss on his hind, personal…
Groomed, kissed and ready.
Evan is such an animal whisperer. Billy is not normally the type to be approached…
True to form, Sonny took a detour home.
Via a late lunch at St Albans pub, then a ferry at Wiseman's…
Crossing the water I remembered taking the kids mandarin picking there years ago. I had an idea where it was, and we took the 12km gamble on it still being there/being open after 4pm on a Sunday/it being mandarin season.
The gamble paid off. Ford's Farm was open and the satsumas were ripe for the picking. We picked three and a half kgs of juicy mandies for $7.
They told us "don't leave it so long, next time" to visit.
I won't!
I hunted down the pictures I took on my phone, back in 2006.
The kids were so little, and cute!
Then..
Now…
Then…
Now…
Then…
Now…
Always makes me love them a little more when I see pictures, and so are reminded of them young and cute.
