S’been a while since I graced the social pages.
Just goes to show – you’re never too old!
Sunday was my birthday, though I was reticent to
venture out on Saturday night. A few people I knew had left town for the
weekend (something I said?), and there were no bands luring me into town. I’d
heard of this Angelina – metal band with chick singer at the Annandale, I
thought, well that can’t be too bad. Had a mutual birhtday call with my twin
(different family, same day), Mary, then picked up Patti-cakes and headed to
Cass’s. I love my necklaces that Patti gave me…
And I was stoked to see I was not the only one
wearing ‘metal’ (ok, lame) to a metal gig!
(lovin my saggy-crotch-look in that shot. Damn daks
kept falling down!)
Idiots? Yep, but we had so much fun!
Met up with Niki at the Annandale. She showed us her finished work –
she’s been very busy lately! I love it
I must say, I think Niki sported a
superior level of comfort that night…..
We didn’t see much of the bands. One of the
supports sounded a little Metallica-esqe, and we should have given them more
attention cos the headliners were more Evanescence than metal.
En-route to the Townie, Cass was on a bit of a
roll, calling these guys “boys in da hoods”, then asking if they had
Bonds sponsorship (which they didn’t hear, or didn’t get, but we were loving
it!).
Things went as swimmingly as usual at the Townie.
It’s reassuring to know that you can put a headache tablet atop a coin on the
pool table (so you know it’s yours – of course), walk away for an hour of so,
come back, its still there and your games up!
But can someone please explain what I was
doing on the carpeted dancefloor in platforms for 2hrs?
Kinda went a little downhill from there, not that I
noticed, I was tired though. But we didn’t go home. We went to the Courthouse. Don’t
even begin to think this was my idea…
I really don’t like seeing those dawn colours creep
up..
hehehehehehehe…….
My birthday day looked like it was going to be a
beautiful one…….. It didn’t really feel beautiful!!!!! Oh well, you only
turn 32 once, don’t you 🙂
