On the morning of the big day the boys went to the golf course, and I tagged along for a few quick shots before checking up on the bridal preparations…
When I stole away with the Carla’s shoes, and the rings for a couple of shots.
Then took the dress out for a run, safe in the knowledge the groom was still on the golf course.
Bridesmaid Kelly suggested Carla climb up the tree with the dress, which she was more than happy to do (setting a bit of a precedent for the wedding photos, which involved quite a few more tree-climbing shots). Love that!
Carla’s daughter, Gabbi (cute enough to eat) helped apply some make-up…
then melted my heart just a little more
Almost ready.
Father of the bride, happy and relaxed in the car (probably thinking about surfing Cloudbreak the next day)…
Tropical wedding. Just the best.
Thanks to Skype (and a couple of pairs of sunglasses over the webcam to cut glare) those who couldn’t make it to Fiji, still got to enjoy the ceremony – and have a chat afterwards…
Greg with Hayden. Such a lovely dad!
This picture cracks me up – hope you don’t mind me posting it, Carla (my other two readers probably won’t notice if you want me to remove it).
On our way between ‘official photos’ and the reception (via a poolside bar – we had a lot of time to fill) Carla and Greg decided on a spot of tennis.
Is this the best jump-in-a-wedding-dress ever??
There was a teeny threat of rain (as you can see by that dark sunset, above), so the reception was moved indoors. It didn’t dampen any spirits, though,
and the change in venue probably made the ‘jump and catch’ of Carla and Greg’s first dance a little easier with the solid dancefloor.
The paparazzi were out in force for the cake cutting…
Love.
