I have mentioned that the summer weather I just experienced in Paris was pretty dreadful, but the day we went to the Eiffel Tower was the worst. So cold, windy and raining!
I foolishly thought that the great expanse of building that it is may provide some protection from the elements, but it acts more as a funnel of the wind and consequently the rain, so we chose to not wait in the extra long queue for the lift (probably would have been an hour and a half), and take the thirty minute queue for the stairs like we did last time.
But first, we sat under a large tree to eat our baguette and cheese
and the biggest meringue ever!
I didn’t take too many photos up there, and I really love the photos I took last time we went, so you can have a look at them instead.
The girls have a cute blog about these little animals, so this is them setting up a shot for it.
Au revoir Paris – we left that night.
I am sure I will see you again.
