In Comillas, just near to where we stayed, was a piece of my favourite architect!
I’ve always loved the boldness, the implication of tactile, the organic beauty of Antoni Gaudi’s work, but never seen it in person.
I was so stoked to see El Capricho in Comillas.
Gaudi didn’t even see this place as it was being built, or the location beforehand.
But I love the sunflowers!
Later that day, in Comillas, we had lunch. I guess the sun was strong. It didn’t feel strong to us, but look at what it started doing to the tablecloth as it shined through the ‘Menu Del Dia’ wine glass…
Burning holes within seconds! It was very fun, so we (they- the boys) milked it…
That’s right. A heart from Sonny, and an ‘I <3 Mum’ from Ev.
I’m on a winning streak.
Then there’s the soup too! YUM!
I heart food!
And my boys.
And my girls.
