An easy last day eased me into the Burberry wrap party, I know, I know. Tough gig.
With Candice Lake
A little later in the evening, someone remarked about the similarities in looks between Wes Carr and Sonny.
Emboldened by a drink, I told Wes he had to pose for a photo with Sonny because so many people had told me about him (yes, I live in a pop culture cone-of-having-no-idea). I can't comment on whether either party was flattered by the comparison, though.
But enough about parties when all you really want is my astute take on fashion from my privileged, insiders view…
The Mercedes Benz Star Lounge had some lovely food, and if memory serves me, I was served Mumm every time I was there.
But you want to read about fashion.
The accommodation at the Shangri-La was fantastic (as always), and so much better than the previous digs of The Westin for locality, space and views – wasn't I clever to suggest it!
Ok.
Fashion.
Hmmmmmm……..
Pretty, cute, wearable. I said that quite a bit during the week.
Anyone who was anyone, and in fact just about everyone was doing…. digital prints and laser cuts.
Fuchsia was a feature. As was lime green and fluoro yellows. Lots of block colours to compliment the digital prints. Metallic highlights were refreshing. Fake nails in bright neons were very popular.
The defining feature for many will surely come down to price point.
My personal favourites were Zimmermann, Alice McCall, Ellery, and Akira all for the very un-fashionable reason that I think they would look nice on me.
And finally a walk through (with Kate in tow) around the 1 min 14 mark here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKRVCRtZxWI
Stay well-dressed folks!
'Till next year……
