Sunday night, I headed into the Sando to see
Timmy’s band, The Colytons. I wanted to take some pics for him – though I admit
to alterior motives, as I needed a pic for a new t-shirt design I’m working on.
Still, I always enjoy seeing them, and their short,
fast songs.
Patti and I had plenty of fun, and many a laugh at
the unfolding coincidences!
Just like that night 2 yrs ago, I bid Timmy and his
Valiant farewell.
Unlike that night 2 yrs ago, I hadn’t agreed to
meet him at Spectrum after he’d packed up.
Last time I saw The Colytons on a Sunday night, it
was almost exactly 2 yrs ago – Father’s Day, 2005.
I remember this night well…
Unlike that night 2 yrs ago, I did not involve
myself in any pashing, on any pool table, behind any boyfriend’s back.
Though, like that night 2 yrs ago, said
boyfriend turned up unexpectedly to the place I was at.
Unlike that night 2 yrs ago, I did not
follow said boyfriend back to his place in an already inebriated state to
drink some suspect Jamaican Rum import, whereupon, he passed out and I decided
to drive home.
This is where I hear Karma screaming in my ears,
now
pity I was not remembering it then.
Spookily,
like that night 2 yrs ago – and for the first
time ever since – on Sunday night, the booze bus was on the Harbour
Bridge!
Unlike that night 2 yrs ago,
this was not the final result….
See,
I do learn!
Some cropping of photos has occurred in this
re-post from my previous blog. For those who
are super-keen, a right-click on the image
to view it in a new tab will show the full size.
Apologies.
