And so it came to pass, dear readers, that I was finally able to climb the tower that Eiffel built. Albeit to the second floor, the third closed due to congestion, but that didn’t matter. I took the stairs, and I was happy.
The kids had a little snack, first. How cute they are watching their crepes being made!
After the stairs, the view…
…and I’m faking tilt-shift without dolls-houses this time.
We waited for darkness, for the sparkling lights to come on.
While we waited – beautiful, golden tones.
Paris lights.
The Tower starts to twinkle.
We slowly descended.
I was just loving the play of light and shadow going down. It was just unfathomable to me that people were taking photos with flash as they went down, it was so pretty ‘as is’.
Colour!
Sepia!
The next night, our last for that stay in Paris, we had dinner with Sonny’s godparents and family.
A little overcast…
but inside was warm and inviting
with cheese to finish – Yum!
