The kids hadn't been to Melbourne, and I had a sneaking suspicion they would love The Bloomfield hotel, where I had stayed with Kerstin in January.
If not for the funky rock-star rooms, and the pizza (such a fun place to stay, read what I had to say about it earlier in the year here)
then certainly for the rooftop pool.
Cold, but so fun!
The next morning, we had our first rain of the whole trip, just a drizzle, but it really changed the look of the graffiti…

I never really considered it before, but Melbourne's graffiti lanes are constantly evolving,
the art building on and over itself,
different artists, different media,
always impermanent, always changing…
Pretty cool when you think of it like that.
