I haven't really said much about our crew on the Princess Ushwa as yet.
I was saving it until this post.
Our crew were great. Really lovely guys (yes they were all men. In a Muslim country, if they're all sharing the sleeping area, I'm not too surprised about that). They took care of everything, and we were looked after very well – we even had origami-style sheet folding on our beds each day!
For our last night in the Maldives, the crew set up a beach party.
While they were setting up, we played.
Bieke – best jumper, ever..
Anne-Ro. Another one of our Bond girls.
A couple of the boys were busy digging away in the sand. We had no idea what they were up to.
At first I thought maybe they were going to cook in a fire pit.
but the sand began taking on some shape and
I was already impressed at this stage,
but it just kept getting better.
Love it!
This little crab hole made me think of weevils in flour, the sand is so fine and white.
On the other side of the island, there was another 'party' being set up.
Oh, how I do wish it was mine. So romantic!
Back at our party, preperations were almost finished
And the incredible whale shark sculpture was complete
Our captain, Mode, had time to play.
I love this photo of Saippalhey in the water.
Tommy flag…
I love this photo, too. Ilaria with the Tommy flag. So glamorous!
Comparing suntans with Fuku…
Mikel and Mayra, making me smile.
Dinner was delicious, as always
Before I hopped on the tender headed back to my bed on the boat (glad I did too, I suspect some folks were a little..erm, tired.. the next day) there was one more treat from the whale shark…
Fantastic!
I want to say a big thank you to the Princess Ushwa crew – you made our trip great, and I hope to see you all again in the future.
To Tommy Hilfiger, I want to say the hugest thank you from myself,
and everyone else!
It was such an awesome experience, and we all had the best time. Thank you!
Makes me smile.
