It's clear to many, that I am not 'fashion', and nor do I wish to dip my foot too far into the coloured and ruffled depths of fashion photography. But, I really like to photograph pretty things that make me smile, so I was quite happy to tag along with Sonny while he took some 'proper' backstage photos at East Sydney Tech's (or whatever it's current moniker is) end-of-year-fashion-graduates show.
I have no idea how many new designers showed, and, with apologies, I have no idea of their names. It was something a little different for me.
My plan was to do this funky 'live from backstage' posting, but we got there waaay too late to be setting up my computer and snapping the girls in hair and make-up. As it was, we just caught the last half-hour.

There's not a lot of love between me and flash photography – I'm a big fan of available light. As a consequence, you've got some grit and grime here,
and,
I will never be a fashion photographer – it's all in the detail, which you see with sharpness and light.
Working it for the Guy in the Hat
Love the chicks dancing in the background
hehehe – now I sound like a bloke!
….waving. I think she must have tripped or something while on the runway
If you want to see some 'real' backstage photography, though, look no further than this bloke, and it has nothing to do with nepotism!
Headed to a late dinner of yummy Vietnamese with Sonny before he jetted off to South Australia to do a shoot at some swanky ranch (jealous?.. me?… ahem… like I could vomit!) and how's his form??! Surfing the web on the phone at dinner!
It was ok, apparently, cos it was Google maps?
