This stay in Paris (there will be another), was my inaugural home exchange.
When I first decided to take this trip I began trawling over home exchange websites and sending hundreds of emails to potential people of mutual interest, hoping to find a place for my entire time away to use as a base from which to explore Europe. My co-exchangers in turn would be holed up in my home looking after things there. Of course, that would make life cruisy and simple, and mine never is. After much juggling to find both places to stay and people to stay in mine, I found only two, that would cover one month and one week of my time. But two are far better than none, and my first was in Meudon – a suburb of Paris, surprisingly close to the action but with a quieter feel.
I will respect the privacy of my co-exchangers by not showing photos of their home, but I have to put this cute one of their cat Baghera
and the delights of the local markets
then home for a yummy lunch
Octopus makes India happy…
Food art to art art.
I went to the Louvre last time I was in Paris, so this time I was keen for the Pompidou.
Children's interactive art. Part of it was this house made of cardboard boxes.
Evan shoots me but fails to mention the focus isn't happening.
Reminds me of Hilda's…
And this one's for Patti. Remind you of anything? I'll give you a hint… was the song 'Rock Your Body'???
A bit fortuitous the girls had these bold stripes on. Looks cool against the Yves Klein Blue…
From art art to collectables art, and one of the cutest shops ever, (I discovered it last trip to Paris) Tombees du Camion.
