But I’ll take it in the summer, too.
Spotted that heart, for real, on the way there.
We met with Sonny’s friend, Diane Pernet. Her blog, A Shaded View on Fashion has a big following in the world of fashion blogs, with various contributors, including Sonny. Having been responsible for sending her daily selections of pictures when I was helping Sonny last year at New York Fashion Week, it was nice to get the chance to finally meet her.
Both Sonny and Diane are doing some promo for Swatch watches and needed to be interviewed, then photographed. Sonny to photograph Diane, me to photograph Sonny. Listening to Diane’s interview was such a pleasure – not necessarily because of the content, you know I’m careless when it comes to fashion – but Oh My! Her voice is fantastic. Smooth, low and quiet. A liquidy New York drawl. I closed my eyes and could imagine her reading beat poetry in a smoky cafe filled with writers, artists and musicians.

Then Sonny
Love this one. Story here, story there….
Diane gets shot.
Then later, I shot Sonny.
He scrubs up alright, doesn’t he!
We went with the second one. My idea/styling blah blah (can you see who is reflected in the lens?) and my photo and post-production.
I like it. It makes me happy when what I plan in my head works out.
