We made a circle.
A big circle!
Going back to Belgium, from Austria, was the longest drive, but it has some nice moments.
The road less traveled took us along a road frequented by riders of both pushies and motorbikes. Most restaurants and inns have 'bikers welcome' signs along this scenic drive, which makes a nice change from the attitude that bikies have to put up with in many other places. We passed around mountains and alongside valleys, pausing to have a look at the huge Krimml waterfall – the '5th highest in Europe', which I think doesn't make it sound so amazing, but it is impressive.
After Krimml, we wound our way out of Austria, and across Germany – passing through the Black Forest – then (for Evan's sake 'cos he loves that stuff) through Luxembourg and just dipping into France, before arriving back in Belgium very late at night!
