But before all of that…
I fell in love with these spider-webbed, and dusty plants on the side of another of Sonny's scenic dirt roads.
To give you an idea of how dusty; where any branch touched me, I got dust stripes – bold lines – on my black pants. I couldn't stop laughing. It was like those string, chalk-markers you use in dressmaking, or building.
I love these hay-bales. I've seen them everywhere we go, but hardly ever where I can get a decent photo of them.
Wallpaper clouds,
simple landscapes,
and it's just like it is in the pictures!
In Rome, we stayed in an apartment in a quiet(er) area, that was still an easy walk to see many things. The apartment itself was nothing special, but it was big, with big windows and high ceilings. The block, like many others around it, was accessed from the street through a pretty courtyard. Not really what I'm used to in housing commission blocks, but that's exactly what they were (before they were gentrified). Built by Mussolini in the 30's as housing for the poorer people.
Roman graffiti…
Anyway. We are off driving again today, following the sun, so you may have to wait a while before you see any Roman pictures.
Onward trusty Volvo!
