I tagged along on the latest Wish campaign shoot a little while ago, shooting a couple of behind the scenes images. Not as far afield as the last time, when we took a slow plane to Mt Ive in South Australia, we only had to go to the Southern Highlands this time.
Beautiful morning light…
Model, Sophie Strobele was rugged up against the icy morning air, but the cold thankfully didn't last too long.
Next shot location, and the other model arrives
and I was keen to have a shot with her
so I jumped in for the light test…
Love the way my hair looks like a fur hood.
Selfie…
Sophie is really beautiful. Just a shame she didn't want to look at my camera, even when there was no other camera to look at. Oh well, I guess I'm not writing her cheques.
Next location was a dramatic mound of rock…
surrounded by the thorniest of thistles – tricky to negotiate for all those with bare legs…
For me the trick was in the descent, though. Laden with two cameras, a light stand, and a battery pack I narrowly averted disater with a four step stumble.
I curse my crap balance! Always.
(Miranda! Wait, Miranda. Where are you going? Wait for meeeee!)…
So cool up on the hill, and I had fun with not just one favourite filter, but two doubled up.
Beauty and the (hairy)…
Cute outfit, this one
Back down on the road,
Day warmed up, and another light test
and I thought I'd play around a little with some branding

Love these pants
That first location at the church was so pretty, so I was happy to return to it for the last shots, though I had no idea I could be so allergic to grass. Incredible! By the end of the day I'd put my back out from sneezing, my nose was so inflamed I couldn't breathe through it – even the following day, and I looked like I'd been beaten about the eyes.
Got nice photos though…
The stalker
and her prey
Bike owner Keith looks on…
It's ok. The photographer has everything under control…
Nice folded details on this dinner/party frock…
We overnighted in the area so we could get the early start – and catch that sublime morning light.
Readers of my blog and knowers of me will knowI love a 'big', and Goulburn is home to the Big Merino, so imagine my excitement when I found out we were staying in a motel right behind it's ass!
And it was all uphill from there.
The Trappers Motel rooms were well sized, very clean, and well lit. With a mini bar, heaps of power points (good for all those batteries we had to put on charge), ample desk/table space, Foxtel, a rain shower head, and (valuable to me the next day) a personal tissue pack. A motel that goes beyond the basics means I love it.
The restaurant onsite didn't disappoint either. I wolfed down the Cheesy Garlic Pide, and followed it with a chaser of very melt-in-the-mouth Lamb Shanks served with veges while sampling Sonny's super sweet and delicious Pumpkin Fettucine. You know I'm a fussy mc fuss with restaurants, so I love it when country one delivers the yums.
Great shoot. Check out all the images via the link at the top of this post, and then have a look at Sonny's blog, when he gets a chance in a fashion week lull he'll post more images.
