Gorgeous Leisa had her engagement party last
Saturday night, at Collaroy surf club. It was a beautiful, clear warm (for
winter) night with a near-full moon.
If you look closely, you can just make out the pool
where I learnt to swim. I used to live on the edge of the headland overlooking
that pool, but you can’t see it in this shot.
Leisa was very full of merriment by the time Patti and I got
there, and with free champagne, I thought I’d better join her.
I knew a lot more people than I expected, and
of course met some more. There were 3 other Jacqui’s there – damn it’s a common
name! – but I only met one. Naturally she was a great chick. Though the poor
soul found herself to be the victim of some unwarranted chick-biffo! I didn’t
witness the incident myself, but poor Jac got clocked on the side of her face.
Naturally, there were many re-enactments to follow. Here’s my best..
It was a really fun party for some really awesome
people. They are the cutest couple, and I wish them happiness right into their
Zimmer Frames, and twins! I wish them twins. But remember what I said Leisa, be
careful what you wish for, it just might happen and you’ll say “for fucks
sake, what was I thinking!!”
