There is a date written on one set of proof sheets – 19th June, 1989 – ten days before I left for Japan on my two month modelling contract set up by my old agency, before I joined Ursula's, before I joined Priscilla's.
Sonny shot the pictures.
Two different shoots, actually. I only remember us doing one, and that's because I kept a print from it in the back of my book because I liked it. Because my friend took it.
How could I have ever imagined back then (or for all those many years between where we completly lost contact), that I would end up with him?
Crazy how these things work.
Anyway, not long ago, he produced these proof sheets (and interestingly a full roll that had been printed back in the day. Not what photgraphers usually do. Not what Sonny usually did. Why the special print run? Curious), and as I said, I thought we had only done the one shoot together, so I was surprised to see the two.
I'm quite looking forward to when he goes through his old social pages photos – I know there are many of me there, so I just wonder how many more I've forgotten about!
The green spot is the one that lived in the back of my book.
And he still can't spell my name right.
And that, kiddies, is how we did pictures in the old days!
Here's a few of my favourites.
Love my hair in this shoot! (It was red, in those days)
And a few from the special colour print run…
Twee…
Twee-er
Ooops. Not so twee anymore
I'm smiling!
